The Magic of Reading

Art Martello has more than 40 years of experience as an educator,
Speech and Language Pathologist and educational administrator  Each
of his shows are structured to appropriately represent the event with
programs to encourage reading or using the library.

In this type of show, Art uses audience participation and magic tricks
relating to the  alphabet and words that encourage reading. Puppets
and a magical "flea circus" may be used to enhance the presentation
(an example of this would be the theme "Catch the Reading Bug")
Elementary school age audiences also see how easy it is to "escape"
from watching television excessively. This years theme,  "Water Magic" ,
coincides with the library association "Make a Splash, Read" theme. Art
will be presenting his show at area libraries.
